Abstract

The study of dielectric response represents a well-established technique to monitor and characterize a biological system status. To this regard, the modelling approach gives the possibility to evaluate the mechanisms at the basis of the interaction of biological matter with the electromagnetic (EM) fields. In this work preliminary results of the numerical study performed on dielectric response of single cells are provided. Here, the aim is to demonstrate the ability of microdosimetric models to give a quantitative electrical characterization of cells with results in line with published experimental data.
