Abstract
Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is one of the greatest challenges for oncologists. The standard of care has evolved drastically during the past 3 decades, leading to a gratifying improvement in outcomes. In this chapter, we provide a comprehensive overview of current management recommendations, the rationale and achievements of contemporary treatment, the remaining issues and areas for improvement, suggestions for research directions, and goals for standard of care in the coming years.
