Abstract

New BI-RADS^® Atlas edited by American College of Radiology (ACR) is available online with an electronic version since end of 2013. This atlas includes a lexicon for mammographic, ultrasound and MR breast images with recommendation for interpretation. In comparison with previous versions, the idea is to standardize mammographic, ultrasound and MR items. Some terms have been suppressed as some other has been added, for more precise description of images. Density has to be described on ultrasound according three categories. Breast ultrasonography, on qualitative mode has been added. This review is the second of three articles summarizing changes in the 2013 BI-RADS^® atlas, and details changes in the ultrasound version.
