    Abstract

It is not uncommon to diagnose an ovarian mass during pregnancy in an era of routine prenatal ultrasound. The risk of malignancy is very low. A strict and systematic diagnostic management is mandatory in order to avoid unnecessary procedures. Exploration should not be systematically delayed in post partum and surgery can be necessary to assess histology for suspicious lesions. Surgical guidelines have to be respected. Currently, French recommendations to treat those patients are available and should lead to a better and more homogeneous management. Most of the time, the pregnancy can be preserved. Induced prematurity should be limited as much as possible. All cases should be declared to the national network (www.cancer-et-grossesse.fr).
