Résumé

A discussion on the different aspects of seakeeping/sloshing coupling covers the BV developments of efficient numerical tool to predict this dynamic coupling; influence of this coupling for various LNG projects in terms of motion response and in terms of induced sloshing effects; influence of hydrodynamic coupling illustrated through the application for various LNG terminal projects; analysis of sloshing effects induced by coupled and non-coupled vessel motion, and possible risk of coupled effects demonstrated on the example of standard size of LNG carrier operating with partly filled cargo tanks.
