Résumé

Community and hospital pharmacist are facing important transformation in their daily practice. According to patients' expectations, new management methods should be implemented by pharmacists to achieve projects outcomes. We present a management tool called "horned beast method" which allows functional analysis to design services or product that match identified needs. Two concrete examples (from community and hospital pharmacies) are presented. This functional analysis tool is simple, powerful and universal. It assists the project team for defining tailored needs and prevents the project team's members directly thinking about solutions. It is also a useful tool to communicate within the team and outside while the project runs.
