Résumé
An increasing number of preclinical and clinical studies highlight the tremendous impact of the taxonomic composition of the gut microbiota on anticancer treatments, such as, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and immunotherapy. Recently, causatives interactions between some bacteria or their phage and innate or adaptive immune responses have been discovered. Understand the crosstalk between the gut and the tumor microenvironment opens up a new therapeutic field in gut microbiota modulation. This review resumes the immunomodulation generated by the microbiota, the deleterious impact of the antibiotics on this system and new therapeutic interventions studied in human clinical trials.
