Résumé

Fulminant B meningococcal is the rarest and the most alarming clinical sepsis shock of the meningococcal diseases. It requires an immediate treatment before the diagnosis for an adapted medical care and a better prognosis. This case report points out the necessity to quickly and efficiently treat the patient to prevent potential disabling and life threatening disorder. The first treatment includes the association of third generation cephalosporin's, two fluids resuscitation (artificial and natural colloid solutions) and a vasoactive inotrope drug. This case report shows the extreme emergency of this kind of meningococcal infection and the clinician's powerlessness in face of the lack of an effective meningococcus B vaccine.
