Résumé
Most patients with gynecologic emergencies complain of pelvic pain and/or vaginal bleeding and/or fever. These symptoms are frequent but not specific. Ultrasonography is essential to complete physical examination, and clinical and laboratory data, to diagnose gynecologic diseases. The diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy must be ruled out first in woman of childbearing age. A large number of other gynecologic problems may be present such as hemorrhagic ovarian cysts, tubo-ovarian torsion, pelvic inflammatory disease, leiomyoma... Lastly, a number of non gynecologic diseases such as appendicitis, gastroenteritis, diverticulitis, pyelonephritis, and renal calculi can mimic obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.
