Résumé
The recent developments of the research on tumor angiogenesis have resulted into three main types of histopathological studies : the evaluation of the intra-tumoral microvascular density, the in situ exploration of the molecular and cellular mechanisms of the angiogenic process and the in situ analysis of the expression of pro- or anti-angiogenic factors. Intra-tumoral microvascular density has been proposed as a potential prognostic marker in several types of human cancers, but its use is hampered by the difficulty to standardize its techniques of measure.
