Résumé
Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue-derived lymphomas are the most common subset of the extranodal lymphomas and a distinct entity in the REAL and WHO classification among the marginal zone L-cell lymphomas. Although stomach is the most common site, various other localisations havet also been described. Clinically, MALT lymphomas behave as an indolent disease with a prolonged course, but histologic progression from a low-grade to a high-grade Iymphoma occurs in about 10% of patients. Treatment options are discussed. Prospective studies are expected to define what may be the best therapeutic options.
