N2 - Postoperative pain induced by major head and neck cancer surgery is underestimated. The extent of tissues resections is completed by flap coverage and may concern cervical nerves (V or XI in particular) causing neuropathic pain. Multimodal analgesia including morphine PCA is the gold standard but seems to be insufficient ensuring complete pain relief. In addition, many patients report chronic pain after surgery. New analgesic strategies need to be evaluated in these settings.
