    Résumé

Local extension assessment of breast cancer concerns all radiologists doing breast imaging. The place of tomosynthesis in local extension assessment is not clearly defined, but this imaging modality associated with ultrasound is very efficient. In combination with mammography and ultrasound, its sensitivity of lesion detection is close to that of MRI. Indications for breast MRI in local breast cancer extension assessment are well codified. Angiomammography is becoming more widespread and its indications are the same as those of MRI. Angiomammography has performance equivalent to that of MRI with fewer false positives. In the future, new technical advances such as angiotomosynthesis and soon the biopsy with angiomammography will also find their place in the assessment of local extension of breast cancer.
