Résumé
Orthopaedic insoles can be effective in distributing foot pressure as in the prevention of diabetic foot. Hand-foot syndrome is a side effect of chemotherapy treatments (capecitabine) and targeted therapies (sunitinib). A pilot study has been carried out to determine the efficacy of orthopaedic insoles in reducing or preventing hand-foot syndrome in patients receiving these cancer treatments. It also analyses the treatments which can be offered by pedicurist-podiatrists in association with oncologists.
