Résumé

During the past decade, the use of personal computers in the workplace has been increasing rapidly. From secretary to engineer, users are finding that personal computers significantly increase productivity. They are ideal for decreasing the time needed to perform repetitive calculations. Personal computer programs can now be used to help vacuum system users correctly size cryopumps for various vacuum chamber configurations. Specifically: Calculate pumpdown times vs. chamber pressure Calculate effective pumping speed at the chamber and much more. This paper informs system users what data is required. With this data, sizing is expedited significantly.
